Press On and Press In

Press On and Press In

Today November 24th, 2012 at 2:06pm eastern time, I am right where I am supposed to be.  Thank God for my past, because I am allowing it to make me into the person God has called me to be.  However, just as hard as I am pushing on to the prize in my Lord Jesus, the enemy is trying to pull me back.  Satan, the enemy of our soul, tries to throw everything he can at God’s children to cause us to stop moving towards a greater life in Christ. Today, I take a stand and say “I will be all that God called me to be!”

When we ask Jesus into our hearts and lives, we become a new person.  God says in His word “Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things are passed away; behold, new things have come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17).   God sees us as a new creature, but so many times we did not see ourselves as new creatures.  I know that my walk has been filled with struggles of me becoming all that God has called me to be.  And what I have come to realize is that I have to start seeing myself thru the eyes of my Father God and not thru my own eyes.  My vision is clouded by what I allow to play in my thoughts.  When I give more thought to what man has said about me then I give to what God has said about me, then the enemy of my soul wins.  Today I am going to press on and press in to become all that God has called me to be.  I once heard a wonderful man of God say, “Be who you are supposed to be, not who you have allowed yourself to become.”

Before I sign off I want to let you know that God has a plan for your life.  It might not seem like it now, but open yourself up to God, thru His word the Bible, and you will start to see clearly what He has in store for you.

Quote to remember:

“Be who I am supposed to be, not what I have allowed myself to become”
